Symposium
gta Doctoral Workshop 2016
Veranstalter: Professur Stalder
Datum: Mittwoch, 1. Juni 2016
Ort: ETH Zürich, Hönggerberg, HIL E 71
The gta Doctoral Workshop 2016 – the first iteration of a biennial forum for international research at the doctoral level – addresses European projects and po- sitions in architecture, urbanism and landscape archi- tecture. It also addresses European relations to colonial and postcolonial developments on other continents; the influence of non-European architects and planners, historians and theorists in Europe; and debates about European architectural history and theory as the basis for the discipline as such – its past, its methods and its constraints. Indeed, European architecture might only be thinkable through the existence of its limits.
Organized by Prof. Dr. Laurent Stalder and Dr. Cameron Macdonell, Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture, ETH Zürich.
