Justus Dahinden (*1925) studied and completed his doctorate at ETH Zurich. Between 1967 and 1979 he was a member of the International Congress on Religion, Architecture and the Fine Arts, in 1968 a member of the Groupe d'Architecture Prospective, and from 1974 to 1996 professor at the Vienna University of Technology and head of the Institute for Interior Design and Drafting there. His most important buildings include the Zelthaus on Rigi-Unterstetten (1954), the Pyramide am See in Zurich (1965-70), the Schwabylon leisure city in Munich (1970-74) and the Ostermundingen shopping center (1985-89). Dahinden designed various unrealized urban visions, such as Akro-Polis (1974), Radio City (1968-70) and Kiryat Ono (1969-71). He also developed building systems such as Trigon (1970) and Bubble-Bau (1981).
