The Seminar Week aims at introducing architecture students to the field of “Architectural Ethnography.” The collective production of public drawings will provide students with the foundations of the related research methodology, its drawing techniques, and conceptual frameworks. The research topic will be the public spaces of Prague. By drawing, we will try to understand how these places work, what makes them attractive and what activities do they enable.

Students from ETH and the Fakulta Architektury ČVUT V Praze will work together in international teams to produce large scale drawings of public spaces within the city of Prague. By doing so, the students will learn how to observe public life, how to draw the life, history and architecture of public spaces, and how to discuss with each other and even argue by drawing.

15-22 Students, cost category B
